Master Wheeler has been training within the World Tang Soo Do Association since 1998.   He received his 4th degree Master's rank in 2016 and his 5th in 2021; he currently serves as the Regional Director for Region 5 within the Association.  His responsibilities are Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. 

 

 Master Wheeler achieved his Lakan Lima (5th degree) Masters in Modern Arnis in 2025 after nearly 30 years of training and also trains in Anchon/Ted Bout's Balintawak single cane system.  His Organazation is Double Dragon MAB. His expierence also includes Boxing, Hapkido and Tai Chi-KiGong.  

Master Wheeler is a veteran of the Flint Police Dept. where he served 23 years, 19 of those years as a Resource Officer/Investigator within the Flint Community Schools.

He is an Associate Minister at Word of Life Christian Church, where Pastor Delrico Loyd is senior Pastor and George Wilkinson is the Legacy Pastor.

Master Wheeler states that he became frustrated with the choices young people were making, so he decided to do something about it!

​

He retired when eligible, and opened a full time Studio. ( He now owns two locations)  He shared "I no longer put hand cuffs around young people's wrists, I now make them leaders and put Black Belts around their waists!"  

​

He is also a mentor/Instructor for previously incareratred men  and women (returning citizens) for the Re-Connections Organization .  He is also a certified Anti-Bully Instructor as well as the Author of the book entitled "Where is Adam, understanding a Father's role"  www.whereisadam.org.  Books can me ordered at Amazon books.
