3rd Annual End of the Year workout 12/10/10 (6:00 PM - 8:30 PM)
This is our 3rd annual end of the year workout with Team Force and Jung Do Academy. This a very challenging workout to captivate another successful year. We are glad to spend it with our friends from these two great studios.
Christmas Party 12/18/10 (6:00 PM - 8:30 PM)
We had a great time at Ponderosa in 2009, so much so that we will do it again in 10. Information will be forth coming.

Remember. For the saftey of our Dragon family, when the Flint Community Schools close because of adverse weather, we will also be closed.

2nd Annual Friendship Tournament 1/16/10 (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Double Dragon hosted it's 2nd annual Friendship Tournament at McKinley Middle School on Saturday January 16th. There were several Karate Schools attending. After paying all the bills, Double Dragon donated all proceeds to the RED CROSS and the HAITIAN relief efforts. With the assistance of Master Gary Brown from Team Force Academy of Flint and Grand Master Delford Fort of Yellow Tigers of Detroit. Double Dragon was able to make a sizable donation to this very worthy cause. Mr. Wheeler and the Double Dragon family would like to thank all who donated thier time and resorces to this desparate cause.

1st Gup test 2010 2/6/10 (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Double Dragon will have it's first Gup test of the new year, so practice practice practice.
Yellow Tigers In House Tournament 2/13/10 (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Double Dragon will be travelling to Detroit to thier In House Tournament.
Indiana Training Bonanza (Formally Ohio Clinic) 2/27/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Double Dragon will be travelling to Valparaso Indiana for a Training Bonanza. This is the event formally held in Columbus Ohio and is now hosted by Mr. Theros. We have three Dragons that will be pre testing for thier next rank at this event. Quiara 1st dan, Dusting 1st dan and Osai 3rd dan. We are looking forward to a great weekend of training. Regional Championships 4/16/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Double Dragon once again will be hosting the Regional Championships which will be held beginning Friday night with Dan testing under the watchful eye of Grand Master Jae C Shin. All those that were successful with thier pre-test held in Indiana in February will have the previledge of testing, which will be held at Double Dragon. The physical test will begin after the written test has been completed.
The Tournament will be held at Southwestern H.S from 9am-4pm. The Dinner dance will take place at Sloan Museum from 7pm-10:30pm. There will be a workout with Grand Master Shin on Sunday from 9am-12pm. You don't want to miss this awesome event. Lodging will once again be at the Holidome in Gd. Blanc. KARATE KID MOVIE NIGHT 6/5/10 (8:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
Come one, come all and join us for the Karate Kid movie night at Double Dragon. The cost is $15 which includes food and two moives. We will watch the old school Karate Kid Movie as we prepare for the new school which will be released Friday June 11th. We will be going to see the NEW KARATE KID on Saturday June 12th at 1:30pm. We will meet at Double Dragon at 12:15, leaving at 12:30 sharp.

Flint Olympian games coming in July 7/14/10
Flint Olympian Games are coming July 14th at McKinley Middle School. Competition will take place from 11am-4pm.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS 7/16/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
WE'RE BAAAACK. Double Dragon is back from the 13th annual World Championships which were held is Greensboro N.Carolina, and what a time we had. The best part was our leader and Grand Master Jae C Shin excepting his 9th Dan, what an amazing sight! Also congrats to our new Assistant Grand Master Beaudien. Let us not forget our new 7th, 6th, and 5th Dans. We are proud of our Regional Masters and thier new promotions, with Master Jansa receiving his 6th Dan promotion along with Master Inoshita receiving his 5th Dan. Good job good job, clap clap, clap clap.
Then there were the Double Dragon competitors. Once again Double Dragon had students on the winner's podium. Repeat winners were Assistant Instructor Osai Robinson who won a Gold medal in Sparring, Assistant Instructor Quiana Wheeler won Silver in sparring, while new comer Assistant Instructor CRAIG KEAHEY was a TRIPLE CROWN WINNER AND GRAND CHAMPION RUNNER UP. Also QUIARA WHEELER won YOUTH UNDERBELT GRAND CHAMPION winning Gold in sparring, Gold in forms and Silver in weapons. Assistant Instructor Dustin Edwards earned a Silver in weapons. Other winners were; Senior womens winner Helen Jacobson earing a silver in Forms. Boys Advanced 11-12, Alex Hooker Gold Forms and weapons, Devin Powell Silver Forms. 8 and under Intermediate Ryan Fogle Gold in Forms, Silver Weapons. HONORABLE MENTION; Crysyal Gray, Evan Ferweda, Mark Miller, Evan Green, Wesley Green and Ian Jacobson.
We are so proud of our Dragons for thier accomplishment. You make our school and Region look MARVALOUS.... Keep up the good work!
2010 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 7/16/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
IT ONLY HAPPENS EVERY TWO YEARS. THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS! THIS YEAR IT WILL BE HELD IN GREENSBORO NORTH CAROLINA. We've been waiting two years to get back to this international event. In 2008 Double Dragon took 23 competitors to the event where Mr. Wheeler, Osai, Quiana, and Quion and 12 others placed in the top three. We hope that we can double that number this year. Lets get ready to rumble!
CANUSA 2010 8/6/10
We are excited to be hosting the CANUSA Games this year. The opening Cerimonies and Games will begin Friday the 6th and conclude on Sunday the 8th. Team USA has won the Karate games the past two years, with our Canadian friends closing the gap and getting closer to a win each year. Black Belt Camp coming in August, 2010 8/13/10 (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Our annual Black Belt camp will once again be held at camp Tecumseh in Indiana from the 13th-15th. We are excited to have new students attending this year.
